Adult Forum: a biweekly book and video discussion group
shared with the Presbyterian church and open to all. Past discussion
topics have included books such as Credo by William Sloane
Coffin and Why Christianity Must Change or Die by John
Shelby Spong; Islam through print, guest speaker, and video; and
videos on Judaism and the work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. This discussion
attracts seekers as well as more traditional Christians and emphasizes
respect for our differing perspectives. People are welcome to
join the group at any time or when interested in a particular
topic on the schedule
updated each week in the news bulletin.
Via Media: an eight-week, video-based discussion series
exploring the questions important to each individual's faith journey
from an Episcopalian perspective. Via Media will be offered periodically
as need and interest allow.
Education for Ministry: Every baptized person is called
to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program
provides people with the education to carry out that ministry,
covering the basics of a theological education in the Old and
New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology in four
years. The group meets biweekly on Saturday afternoons. Those
interested in the program are welcome to join the existing group
each fall and commit to the group for at least one academic year.
Adult Education: a monthly post-worship potluck, followed
by an exploration of the rich Episcopal tradition. Topics range
from a Native American Perspective on the Episcopal Church to
a Practical Guide to the Book of Common Prayer.
